Edmund (Ed) Vanderbeck joined XGen Pharmaceuticals DJB, Inc. on May 4, 2020 as President, becoming only the third person to fill the position since the founding of Pharma-Tek almost 50 years ago. 

Ed brings with him over 25 years’ experience in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industry, starting his career working on the Human Genome Project with Amersham Biosciences (GE Healthcare) and moving on to Drug Discovery and High Throughput Screening of molecules with Molecular Devices before settling into the Generic Pharmaceutical industry for the last 15 years.

Ed spent close to 12 years of his Generic Pharmaceutical tenure in the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) area learning what makes a good generic opportunity from a drug substance perspective.  He has been able to translate that into the drug product area while building upon a team of seasoned professionals to help bring XGen Pharmaceuticals, DJB to the next level.

Ed is a graduate of William Paterson University where he majored in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology.
